Then, luckily, it cleared away and a warm sun heated up the track, while there was also plenty of warmth flowing from the thousands of fans who arrived here in the early hours. Running with the Mercedes KERS operational throughout the day to continue Michael’s familiarisation process, the team focused on system checks with shorter runs in the early part of the day, before progressing to set-up work and tyre evaluations with the medium and super soft Pirelli tyre compounds over longer runs. Written by: Lotus Renault GP Date: Feb. 11, 2010 Robert had further surgery today at the Santa Corona Hospital in Pietra Ligure. A team of 15 doctors and nurses were involved to carry out surgery to his foot, shoulder, humerous, and anterior elbow. Dr. Francesco Lanza from the Orthopaedic Department confirmed that the four operations had gone well. Robert will remain in intensive care over the weekend, with the final surgery planned for next week to treat the posterior part of the elbow. Written by: Ferrari Date: Feb. 11, 2011 Felipe Massa was pleased with what had been achieved as he stepped from the cockpit of his F150th Italia at the end of a busy day’s testing at the Andalusian circuit of Jerez de la Frontera. The Brazilian was able to do a lot of running, without the car experiencing any technical failures. Slowing the progress of the programme however were interruptions caused by cars stopping out on track, especially in the afternoon.
